As passionate consumer of politics and pizza, Ben advises clients ranging from iconic consumer brands to Fortune 500 to Series A in navigating an increasingly complex media, cultural, and public affairs landscape. 

Ben is currently a managing director at FGS Global, a leader in all aspects of strategic advisory and communications, including corporate reputation, crisis management, ESG, government affairs and is a leading advisor on business-critical financial communications worldwide.

Prior to FGS Global, Ben was the head of strategic communications and brand marketing at CAVA, a leading Mediterranean culinary brand. In his role, Ben led media and public relations, executive positioning, customer experience, and brand development. Prior to CAVA, Ben built and led the communications and public relations team for fast-casual chain Sweetgreen, focusing on message and strategy development, executive and brand positioning, issue and crisis management, and corporate social responsibility.

Prior to his days slinging salads, he spent nearly six years in the U.S. Senate culminating as communications director and national press secretary to the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. During his time on the Committee, he led the messaging and communications strategy around the passage of one of the most contentious food policy fights of the past decade – the nation’s first ever mandatory requirement for the labeling of genetically modified (GMO) foods. He also served in various roles for the senior U.S. Senator for Ohio.  

A proud graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Ben is a lifelong runner, print newspaper subscriber, and lives in Los Angeles, California.
